Bibimbap is a bowl of rice mixed with meat and an assortment of seasoned greens.
Popular both in Korea and abroad, it has a reputation for being heart-smart and healthy. There are as many recipes for bibimbap as you can think of and everyone has their own bibimbap recipe. Aside from namul (seasoned vegetables) that are introduced in this recipe, you can also add seasoned dol namul (stringy stonecrop), birewum namul (amaranth greens), cucumber, and gosari (bracken fern) for a refreshing change to your bibimbap. Don’t forget to add a drizzle of sesame oil for extra hint of Asian flavour.
